Plus Architecture announces six new appointments reflecting 25 years of diverse and inclusive workplace culture

Plus Architecture has announced a series of promotions and appointments across its Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane studios, highlighting the practice’s commitment to nurturing design talent with supportive and inclusive policies.

A hallmark announcement in Plus Architecture’s 25th year of operation, the promotions form part of a broader celebration of consistent growth in the Asia-Pacific region, as the practice continues to deliver unique design outcomes shaped by community responses, innovative approaches, and sustainably sound practices.

Plus Architecture is delighted to have promoted Candice Ng to Principal, a position that will see her play a leading role in driving business development at the practice’s Melbourne studio.

Delivering key projects across sectors including 600 Collins (mixed-use), Galleria (multi-residential) and VicUrban Logis Industrial Park (commercial) over the last decade at Plus, Ng has demonstrated excellence across all project stages from feasibility, master planning, sketch design through to construction administration.

Ng’s exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills have seen her career excel, and she reflects on Plus Architecture’s inclusive ethos that supported her personal and professional growth.

“It’s not always easy to find a workplace in this industry with such inclusive policies to help you thrive especially while I was balancing motherhood,” said Ng.

“Plus Architecture has supported me in reaching this career milestone through valuable training, mentoring opportunities and flexible working arrangements that include working part-time. Being part of this practice has been a really fulfilling professional experience in my career.”

Four further staff promotions in Plus Architecture’s Perth studio and one new appointment in Brisbane encompass a diversity of design talent and experience – a testament to Plus Architecture’s growing reputation of being at forefront of positive industry change.

The significant number of promotions in Western Australia has demonstrated the unprecedented growth and success of Plus Architecture’s Perth studio since its opening in 2017. Jonathan Ng has been promoted to Senior Associate with Kim Ling, Nicholas Putrasia and Giordana Vizzari set to take on the role of Associate.

With 15 years of experience delivering projects across the mixed-use and multi-residential sectors, Jonathan Ng is a motivated collaborator and valued mentor to junior staff whose skills in the technical aspects of architecture combine with his creative vision and innovative approach to shaping built environments.

Kim Ling is an enthusiastic interior designer with over ten years of experience in a range of projects including multi-residential, luxury single residential, retail and commercial fit-outs and institutional interior design projects. She adopts a multifaceted approach to problem-solving, delivering successful project outcomes as observed in her work on commercial and residential projects.

With experience across a range of project typologies, Nicholas Putrasia expertly leads multi-disciplinary teams throughout all facets of the design process. His careful attention to detail helps realise each project in accordance with the design intent while maintaining the client’s expectation of the time and budget.

Drawing on more than eight years’ experience in the industry across a wide range of projects, Giordana Vizzari follows a design ethos based on collaboration and creative exploration and drawing influences from culture, art, and history to deliver holistic and innovative design outcomes. Vizzari will continue to contribute her dynamic design approach to Plus Architecture alongside mentoring and teaching within the practice.

Anthony Tai joins Plus’ Brisbane studio in the role of Associate, bringing with him his hands-on and collaborative approach to working with clients and project stakeholders. Detail-driven and seeking to balance practical needs with creative architectural solutions, Tai’s portfolio demonstrates a focus on retail and mixed-use projects, with experience in multi-residential, master planning and commercial projects.

Proud to have had a consistent balance of gender representation for many years, Plus Architecture maintains equitable recruitment, remuneration, advancement, mentoring and promotion processes to actively support all staff in advancing their careers and foster true inclusion.

For Plus Architecture Director Patric Przeradki, the appointments reflect Plus Architecture’s policy of inclusivity and the importance of elevating new and emerging leaders within every level of the practice.

“Driven by a passionate workforce of over 200 creatives from a range of social and cultural backgrounds, we uphold an ongoing commitment to providing our clients with a diverse range of talent and design expertise,” said Przeradki.
