Plus are pleased to announce the well-deserved promotion to Associate for Louise Hamilton Gainey and Chrisney Formosa.
An impressive Design Lead, Chrisney has a passion for good architecture and design. Bringing over ten years of experience to her new role as Associate, Chrisney is an integral part of the Queensland team, lending her hand and keen eye for detail to key Plus projects across the state.
Never one to shy away from responsibility, Chrisney is also a committed mentor for junior, up-and-coming architects in the Queensland studios. She was the lead organiser behind the hugely successful ‘4000 Ideas’ Brisbane Ideas Competition, a joint initiative with other key industry groups, such as Brisbane City Council and QUT, to develop architectural thinking and ideas for urban spaces around Brisbane.
“In Brisbane we hold true to the mantra that, we find amazing talent and then get out of their way. From the get go, Chrisney was motivated and what she lacked in experience she made up for with commitment, tenancy and raw design talent. Chrisney’s attitude is infectious and is inspiring younger staff to reach further, shoot higher and dream bigger. We are happy to step out of the way and proud to have created an environment that enables our young talent, like Chrisney, to shine, grow, explore and discover.” - Danny Juric, Director
Louise is an incredibly talented interior designer. Holding an impressive portfolio of interiors projects which spans both Australia and New Zealand. Since joining Plus in 2019, Louise has lent her expertise to numerous key Plus interiors projects.
Louise is instrumental in the ongoing growth and reputation of the Interior Design team in Queensland and is passionate about the professional development of those around her – always happy to lend an eye or an ear to those in the team or offer her professional design opinion.
Pragmatic, organised, calm and a little cheeky in her approach, Louise’s understanding of both the logistical and practical aspects of delivery, alongside an appreciation and knowledge of good interior design, means she approaches projects through an unwavering understanding of the client and their individual needs, and ensures the journey to realising their projects is enjoyable.
Louise is a highly collaborative and informed professional, able to actively lead a number of complex projects. We’re excited to welcome her to the Leadership team and look forward to this new chapter of her career with Plus.
“I have known Louise for many years and am pleased to finally be in the position to work with her. She is inspiring in the way she can make momentous tasks seem easy, ridiculous programs manageable, a challenging project rewarding. Our industry presents many challenges, but many rewards as well. It is how we tackle the challenges that brings the reward, or failure. Louise has that innate ability to decompress the situation and through talent and drive convert every endeavour into a success. I, and the whole team at Plus Brisbane, are thankful to work with her and look forward to seeing what Louise will bring in 2021!” - Danny Juric, Director
