Luminary - Shortlisted in The Urban Developer Awards
Luminary continues to make a statement! We’re extremely pleased to announce that Luminary has been shortlisted in this year’s international Urban Developer Awards. A finalist in the Development of the Year – Medium-Density Residential category, there is some fantastic architecture on show and we’re definitely in good company.
Luminary was completed in 2019 in collaboration with revered Property Developers, Lechte Corporation. A contemporary vision of its historic residential surroundings, the development offers 20 individually designed two- and three- bedroom apartments and four penthouses. The unique and innovative façade is a dramatic statement and cements Luminary’s defining presence on a prominent site in this prestigious Melbourne suburb.
Plus Architecture have enjoyed collaborating with Lechte Corporation on a number of high-profile Melbourne-based projects over the years and look forward to continuing this successful collaboration in the future. The Marker is already well underway with completion anticipated in 2021 and our next project Arco Apartments will be released soon.
Arcadia North Gallery, West Village - Shortlisted in the 2020 Sustainability Awards
Arcadia North Gallery, the latest residential building within West Village in Brisbane’s vibrant West End, has been shortlisted in the 2020 Sustainability Awards. This fantastic accolade is shared with a great design team and client Sekisui House Australia.
The 15-storey residential building achieved an average NatHERS rating of 7.7 stars which includes 21 KW of solar PV, rainwater collection, infrastructure to support a 50kI/day greywater treatment plant and a carbon-neutral embedded energy network.
Rydges Geelong and Plus Melbourne Studio - Shortlisted in 2020 Interior Design Excellence Awards
Our Interior Design team continues to go from strength to strength, shortlisted for the second consecutive year in the Interior Design Excellence Awards.
Shortlisted in this year’s Hospitality category, the redesign of Rydges Geelong was a contemporary interpretation of the classic Australian Rydges brand. Plus sought to create, as requested, a new customer experience for the hotel with a light, bright artistic direction inspired by the nature and waterlines of the nearby Victorian coast. Unique art installations in the foyer are designed both as feature pieces and way finders for guests.
Plus Melbourne’s new studio has also been shortlisted in the Workplace over 1000 sqm. Reinvigorating an unoccupied, heritage building in the centre of Melbourne, Plus designers created a new workshop-style studio which exposes and celebrates the raw and messy parts of a beautiful old building.
In association with WeWork, 1 Sussex Street has also been shortlisted in the Workplace over 1000 sqm category.
