Celebrating the existing fabric of Kensington
Scape Todman is the sister project to the signature Scape Pharmacy project in Kensingtonin south-eastern Sydney. Together they form 50% of the built form defining Todman Square. These projects look beyond building and speak to the city scale of urban place-making.
The design intent is to create a building that celebrates the existing fabric of Kensington by maintaining the existing heritage façade while inserting a modern mixed-use building within the envelope and rising 16 storeys into an elegant tower to create a gateway statement for the precinct.
The tower is separated to float over the heritage fabric at the base to present a striking and dynamic architectural response to this key corner site.
The site is immediately adjacent to the new Light Rail Stop and will deliver on the council vision for Transit Oriented Development.
