Located in the heart of North Melbourne, Reflections on the Park delivers a unique design response to the project’s stunning park-side location in the form of a 14m high mirrored glass façade. Designed to be a visual celebration of seasonal change, the external finishes to the upper podium façade mirror the greenery of Gardiner Reserve opposite, providing a dynamic exterior that extends and magnifies the surrounding foliage.
Offering 143 elegantly designed apartments in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations over 13 storeys with a two-level basement car park, the development is positioned towards families who wish to reside in close proximity to public transport, open space and schools.
The generous landscape architect designed communal terrace occupying the podium at level four provides a semi-open space for residents with views of Melbourne’s impressive skyline from large picture windows and balconies.
Inside, the sense of nature and tranquillity is carried through to the expansive lobby which has been imagined as a cluster of trees and leaves with undulating timber walls creating the form of tree trunks while the ceiling uses a recurring leaf motif from the building’s façade to form a canopy of reflective glass panels. The apartments are clean and simple featuring interconnected open plan kitchen and living areas and a highly considered palette of materials including timber floors and stone benches.
