Design-Focused Architectural Graduate

Located in a beautifully refurbished heritage building in Melbourne’s CBD, our Melbourne team are passionate about delivering great projects, building solid relationships with our clients, and, importantly, doing this all while fuelled by good coffee. Originally formed in 1997 to deliver arguably one of Melbourne’s largest master planning projects, NewQuay, we continue to be involved in the design and delivery of key design projects of significance across Victoria.

Plus Architecture are seeking creative, energetic and driven architectural graduates to work within our Melbourne Studio on a variety of projects varying from small to large scale.  The ideal person will have experience working across multiple project sectors and stages. But most importantly, the right candidate will possess a keen eye for design.  This role will provide fantastic opportunities for growth and offer pathways to registration.

What you’ll get up to on the day to day:

  • Provide design, documentation, coordination, and delivery support on a daily basis as part of a project team under the supervision of a Senior Project Architect and / or Project Architect across specific project phases

  • Monitor and review overall tasks; providing timely and accurate weekly progress reporting to a Senior Project Architect and / or Project Architect

  • Develop packages of work with the support of the project team; executing all assigned tasks to agreed scope with accuracy, quality and completeness; ensure complete ‘packages’ of work are delivered to agreed timelines

  • Assist in the liaison and communication with key internal and external stakeholders, in collaboration with Senior Project Architect and / or Project Architect to ensure the successful completion of tasks

  • Work productively in a team environment

  • Create exceptional 2D and 3D visual collateral for client presentations in a variety of market types

Our ideal candidate will be or will have the following:

·          A strong passion for design

·          Revit or Archicad Experience

·          Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

·          Proficiency in Sketch Up, Rhino, Grasshopper, or 3D Modelling software

·          Proficiency in Enscape, Lumion, Vray, 3DS Max, Unreal Engine or visualisation software

·           Confidence and ability to work creatively under pressure and to tight deadlines

·          A strong work ethic and rigour around design processes

·           Appreciation for quality design and pride in their work
