Grand form exuding exclusivity and refinement
Drawing upon the effortless sophistication of its Broadbeach surroundings, La Mer offers 22 full-floor apartments and one double-storey penthouse.
The residences feature ocean-view balconies, a large walk-in pantry, spacious separate laundry and dedicated storage areas. Among the development’s communal recreational facilities include a 13-metre pool, barbeque facilities, private sun lounges and a yoga lawn.
Plus Architecture Director, Danny Juric said La Mer has taken on a grand form that exudes an air of exclusivity and refinement.
“The process of designing La Mer posed a unique opportunity to create an elevated level of luxury while improving the liveability and accessibility of the building’s features taking into consideration its idyllic beachside location.”
“Having fewer apartments meant we could indulge the process of refinement to really hone the design elements that allude to luxury such as elevated interiors, organic sculptural elements, and an inviting ground floor and lobby that blends effortlessly with the surrounding lush ground floor landscaping.”
“Many buildings in the area are unable to use their balconies due to high wind. We decided to make this a focal point of difference for La Mer by ensuring the southeastern corner of the building protrudes forward as a built form and nestles the balconies into the northeasterly corner to protect against the wind”, said Juric.
Surrounded by space, the site is located adjacent to a landscaped pedestrian laneway to the north and a road frontage to the east.
“It’s a special location in Main Beach, that few people know about. This brings with it a sense of exclusivity. But most importantly, it is the curtilage around the tower that sets it apart. It will feel like you have no neighbours” Juric added.
