It’s been a busy few months for our studios with the majority of our Australian teams making the move to larger, more centrally located spaces – a reflection of the growth and maturation of our practice
In early 2019 the Brisbane studio moved into the former Reserve Bank Building located adjacent to King George Square at 102 Adelaide Street. An open plan studio seating 70+ with floor to ceiling glazing overlooking City Hall, the newly renovated tenancy has provided the much-needed space for the growing Brisbane team.
Plus Sydney have recently moved to a beautifully restored and renovated heritage listed building on Clarence Street. This bold new space is a true reflection of the direction in which Plus Sydney is moving. With the welcoming space capturing their attention the second they stepped out the elevator, the access to natural light, heritage character of the building combined with the great city location made it an obvious home for the expanding Sydney team.
In October, the Plus Melbourne studio moved from the much-loved office on St Kilda Road to a new central location on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne’s CBD. Once an empty, heritage-listed building, Plus designers have brought this new space back to life – delivering a refreshed and contemporary studio which still retains a number of the original heritage elements.
Across the ditch, Plus are proud to announce our establishment of a third New Zealand studio in Queenstown, New Zealand. Following the significant growth and expansion of work into this vibrant and growing destination, we’re extremely excited for the future of Plus in New Zealand.
And lastly, our Perth studio have also relocated to new, larger premises to accommodate unprecedented growth since last year. The Perth studio is now operating from the historic Protestant Hall – originally built in 1901 and located on the city’s vibrant Beaufort Street which borders Perth’s cultural precinct. Plus Perth collaborated with Howgroup to furnish the inspiring new space with their products now showcased within the studio.
The Perth studio will continue to build on the success of city-shaping projects across multiple sectors while fostering a collaborative and inspiring space. As a result of the successful growth and business partnerships, the Perth studio culture has been reinvigorated and the talented team are looking forward to ushering in a bright new year in 2020.
