Blurring the boundaries between indoor and out

The Bielby Lane design concept explores a bold interplay of form, materiality, and connection to place. Situated in Tugun, a coastal enclave known for its balance of natural beauty and community vibrancy, the design investigates a series of brick forms complemented by terracotta screening. These elements anchor the project in the region’s architectural vernacular while fostering a dialogue between internal and external spaces.

Our concept blurs boundaries between indoors and out, introducing voids and vertical connections that invite light, air, and greenery to weave through the structure. This spatial flow culminates in an underground spa, visually connected to the ground level above, creating a tranquil retreat within an activated mixed-use hub.

Bielby Lane is envisioned as a place of convergence—where work, wellness, and leisure coalesce. The ground floor café serves as a welcoming entry point, leading to a dynamic mix of spaces: a gym and yoga studio, therapy rooms, two levels of shared co-working spaces, and two additional floors dedicated to functions and community activities.

The design reflects a deep understanding of modern lifestyles, offering environments that encourage collaboration, rejuvenation, and productivity.
