An architecturally-led neighborhood medical clinic enhancing community care.

The new Anketell Road Family Practice and Skin Clinic, designed by Plus Architecture, will be located in the prominent southern suburb of Perth, Anketell. 

The neighbourhood facility will offer patients several private consultation and treatment rooms, along with a pharmacy. 

The medical clinic’s minimalist façade, featuring large windows, will allow natural light to flood the interior spaces. 

The interior design will use natural materials, such as timber and stone, and a neutral colour palette to create a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. The design of the facility is based on contemporary healthcare research—which suggests that a visual and physical connection to nature can improve health outcomes and general patient wellbeing.

It will incorporate a courtyard typology, with thirteen consult/allied health rooms alongside a large reception and waiting area, along with two expansive treatment rooms and staff facilities.

With simple, clean lines and natural elements, the architecture aims to create a sense of order and harmony, resulting in a calming environment and improved user experience.

Strategically placed windows and skylights allow natural daylight to fill the various consultant and treatment rooms. The inclusion of allied services further promotes a holistic and patient-centred approach to healthcare.

Overall, the design provides functional and comfortable spaces that cater to the needs of the local community.
