A design set to enrich the community
In Mount Hawthorn in Western Australia, 370 Oxford Street is a residential development set to inject an aesthetic vibrancy into the neighbourhood.
Parcel Property engaged Plus Architecture to deliver a fresh perspective to meet planning approval requirements. With a number of successful past collaborations in the area, we had established a proven track record in responding to both community and market needs simultaneously, while retaining the unique character of place.
The eight storey, 36-dwelling residential build, balances the need for higher-density arrangements with spacious 3-bedroom apartment living that, although versatile, is particularly suited to downsizers. Our human-centric design not only provides amenities attractive to new residents, but ensures those who have already put down roots will always have a manageable home in the community.
Woven into the urban fabric, our design sees only the first five storeys visible from street-level while the upper storeys are set back through adjusted massing, minimising volume without reducing amenity. The ground podium, with tiered landscaping, hugs the dining and retail spaces below, providing welcome social opportunities for residents and the wider neighbourhood.
Nestled into a walkable precinct, 370 Oxford Street will enrich the current community spirit and see it thrive into the future.
