A captivating, community-focused development far more than the sum of its parts.

Designed by Plus Architecture, 251-261 Springvale Road introduces a striking new architectural presence to Melbourne’s Glen Waverley suburb that showcases a commitment to design innovation and community integration.

The development, viewed in parts, comprises four slender towers offering two- and three-bedroom apartments across 21 storeys, and a podium level welcomes and accommodates the location’s growing academic population.

Viewed as a whole, each tower in this collection varies in height yet works harmoniously to create a unified form reminiscent of a four-leaf clover.

Rounded edges reinforce the flow of this clover motif and marry the development’s architecture with the neighbouring Galleria, which Plus Architecture also designed.

To facilitate distinction between each of the four buildings, reflective metallic elements have been strategically implemented to vary the interplay of light and shadow depending on the time of day.

Meanwhile, a double-height facade expression between floors creates a calming, tranquil exterior within the urban hustle.

The tallest of 251-261 Springvale Road’s four towers sits at the street corner, bookending the site and integrating the development with its surrounding landscape.

Beneath the candescence of these four towers is a textured, human-scale brickwork podium housing facilities suited to this community’s needs. Finally, the podium opens via incorporated curvature in the centre to serve as a welcoming gesture for residents and visitors.
