A vibrant development located on an important site for the future transformation of Kensington.

Scape Lachlan is located in Kensington, Sydney and is situated at a major junction on the Anzac Parade corridor forming part of ‘Todman Square’, which is immediately adjacent to the Todman Avenue light rail stop.

The design celebrates the existing character of Kensington by maintaining the heritage façade and proposes a 19 storey corner tower form floating above. This forms an urban marker at the intersection, with its façade expressed as a peeling veil. Flanking the tower are lower built forms of 10 and 13 storeys, completing the street wall character.

The proposal provides a dynamic mixed use ground plane, composed of retail and a supermarket, a community innovation hub, and active lobbies. The ground floor also envisions a connecting through site link and internal plaza. On the upper levels, the proposal also provides 693 student accommodation and co-living beds, catering to the nearby educational establishments such as UNSW, NIDA and TAFE Kensington.
