Epping Exchange is a 29-storey mixed-use development that represents a pioneering approach in architecture, bringing together different generations and promoting community engagement.

With 17 levels dedicated to independent living, 4 levels allocated for senior care, and a primary school, this vertical residential building fosters intergenerational interaction and discourages social isolation among seniors.

The concept behind this development is to create a “hub of exchange” that facilitates the sharing of knowledge, commerce, craft, and experience across generations.

The development comprises a 132-bed residential care facility, 205 independent seniors living units, and four church presbytery units. It also incorporates a multi-level primary school building, preserving the existing heritage-listed church on the site’s southern side. Additionally, the project includes extensive basement car parking facilities accommodating up to 372 vehicles.

This architectural statement describes a groundbreaking and intergenerational mixed-use development that integrates residential living, senior care, and education in Epping.

It aims to enhance community connectivity and create a vibrant space for the exchange of knowledge, commerce, craft, and experience across generations.
