Flagship vertical school, setting the standard for future pedagogical campuses

As the documentation and delivery architects, Plus Architecture was proud to have played an integral role in the successful delivery of this modern educational facility located in the heart of Brisbane’s southern suburbs.

This new educational facility sets the standard for future pedagogical campuses and is adeptly the Queensland government’s flagship vertical school. Delivered in collaboration with the design architects BVN, the school includes four buildings and a total of eight storeys, with a capacity to serve 1,000 students from Years 7 to 12. Designed with sustainability and innovation in mind, the school provides flexible and collaborative learning environment that supports students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

The project includes state-of-the-art learning spaces, a central courtyard, sports facilities, and ample outdoor spaces that encourage physical activity and social interaction, all while maintaining a focus on student well-being and engagement. We are particularly proud that the school will play a crucial role in Brisbane’s Knowledge Corridor, which includes the largest collection of knowledge-intensive industries in Queensland such as universities, research institutes, and hospitals.

Plus Architecture’s technical expertise and project delivery capabilities ensured that the project’s design was feasible and buildable within the designated timeline and budget. We are pleased that our contributions helped to set a new standard for contemporary educational design and provided a vital asset to the growing communities of Brisbane’s inner south.
